The New York Giants didn’t win outright, though they came close.  What the Giants did do is provide the bookies with an early Christmas present thanks to an improbable come-from-behind performance that allowed New York to tie 35-35 in the final two minutes.

Carolina had been a -4 road favorite coming into this game, winning by a field goal.  They owned it coming into the fourth quarter.

At 5:32 in the 3rd quarter, Carolina led the Giants 35-7.

Heavy early action had been coming in on Carolina, making them the most wagered on side of the early afternoon.  The Giants, however, were the 3rd most bet on side.

Bookies breathed a collective sigh of relief when this one was over.
