Judge Throws Out Inmate Lawsuit Claiming USA Today Ruined Gambling Biz

A Pennsylvania Superior Court panel has thrown out what a judge referred to as an “utterly frivolous” lawsuit by a prison inmate claiming USA Today ruined his illegal jailhouse gambling business after it decided to stop publishing Las Vegas odds.

Judge William H. Platt lambasted 60-year-old Alton Brown for filing the suit.  Brown is serving time for assault and robbery.

In tossing the suit, Platt noted Brown has an 18-year history of filing such baseless complaints from behind bars.
