The latest research shows that those online casinos that also have a poker room on the same site, i.e. an option to play poker games against real players, are more reliable and trustworthy than sites that only offer casino games. They pay faster, have more language and currency options, lower non-payment risk, higher payout limits, and overall player experiences with them are more positive.

The study was performed by the KeyToCasino research team. KeyToCasino is a data-based online casino reviewer known for its previous research on gambling laws around the world. The researchers found that casinos with poker rooms pay on average four times faster than their standalone counterparts. Players had to wait 2.9 days for their winnings to be paid in casinos with poker rooms as opposed to 11.4 days in the casinos without poker rooms.

Additionally, the researchers estimated a non-payment risk for each casino. It was found that in casinos with poker rooms the players are 1/3 less likely to experience a non-payment compared to casinos that don't offer a poker room on their sites. For high rollers and big winners, casinos with poker rooms had better payout terms, with a monthly payout limit 2.5 higher than in standalone casinos. The study also reported that casinos with poker rooms were 9% more likely to have the player's language version, 15% more like likely to honor the currency of choice, and 15% more likely to accept deposits via the player's preferred method.

The detailed report with additional statistics and graphs is available here. The research was based on the data collected from 798 online casinos owned by 337 companies and 4,146 player reports gathered on 7 major gambling forums, which makes it the biggest study yet conducted on the topic. The percentage of positive experiences for those players who preferred casinos with poker rooms was 57% compared to 49% for standalone online casinos. Thus, the research has clearly demonstrated the importance of one the factors that the users need to consider when choosing a site to play.

KeyToCasino research was conducted in order to present some measurable data for the online gambling industry, direct users towards more reputable and rewarding options, and improve overall player experiences in online casinos. Positive experience can never be guaranteed in the online gambling world; however, those players who are interested in trying casino games will more likely to gain it in an online casino with a poker room.
