Local bookies in the following markets have been getting clobbered so far this season thanks to the covers that have taken place so far.  Remember that Pay Per Head companies offer live wagering, sharp player management, prop wagers and, in many cases, online casinos that help boost profits.

North Carolina – North Carolina State is 4-1 Against The Spread while the Panthers start the season 3-0 Straight Up and 2-1 ATS.  Raleigh-Durham area bookies are likely to suffer the most damage.

Atlanta Area – The Falcons are shocking with an early 3-0 start both Straight Up and Against The Spread.  Local bookies are hopeful this trend will not continue.  They had a reprieve with the Bulldogs bad loss against Alabama in Week 5 resulting in a 2-3 ATS record.

Louisville – The Cardinals football team is 4-1 Against The Spread after five weeks despite going 2-3 Straight Up.  This should balance out as the season progresses.  Louisville area bookies are being helped along by the Colts early struggles in which they are 0-3 ATS.  Indeed it is possible some area bookies could be making a profit from local team wagering.

Cincinnati – Bookies here are getting brutalized by the Bengals ability to start the 2015 season 3-0 while covering in all of those.

Green Bay / Northern Wisconsin – Bookies here live and die based on how well the Packers perform, and usually they do well.  No exception this year as Green Bay starts the season 3-0 both Straight Up and Against The Spread.  Live in-play wagering and an online casino offering should help to reduce losses here.

Gainesville, Florida Region – The Gators are now 5-0 Straight Up with a 4-1 ATS record.

Mississippi Bookies – Across the state, local Mississippi bookies continue to sweat as both Ole Miss and Mississippi State will enter Week 6 with 3-2 records Against The Spread.  Southern Mississippi has managed to go 5-0 ATS.  Fortunately they are less of a public team but bookies around the Hattiesburg and Gulfport region will feel that extra pinch.

Michigan State Bookies – These are the locals throughout much of the central portion of the state from north to south who are celebrating.  Not only is their team 5-0 Straight Up on the season, the Spartans are 0-5 covering the spread.  So loyalty and profits combine.
