Beckham Jr. Excited for Opener

There is at least one player on the Giants who doesn’t mind opening the season in Dallas and that is Odell Beckham Jr. "It's a familiar place and it's one of my favorite atmospheres to be in," Beckham Jr. said, "I can't be more excited for Sept. 13." Beckham Jr. has opened up in Dallas before. "I opened up my freshman year in college, LSU vs. Oregon, in Dallas Stadium," he said. In two games against Dallas, last season he had 14 receptions for 180 yards and four touchdowns.

Can the Giants Defense Slow Down Dallas?

The big question on Sunday night is whether or not the Giants defense can slow down the Cowboys. Last year the Giants were terrible on defense as they were 29th in the NFL in total defense. The team went out and brought back former coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. He will need to have a great scheme because most of the same players remain from last year’s defense that gave up a combined 62 points to Dallas.

Series Notes

It was only four years ago that the Giants beat the Cowboys to end the 2011 regular season on their way to a Super Bowl title. The Giants haven’t had much success recently though as they were beaten in both games last season by Dallas and they have lost their past two on the road in Dallas.
