Observers spotted a giant squirrel but scientists say this and the other sightings thus far have been nothing more than odd rock formations.

The “ghost like” woman peering down at the man-made space craft Curiosity has been explained away by NASA as an oddly shaped drift of sand.

A pyramid the size of a small car is surmised to be the top of a much larger pyramid buried under the sands of the red planet.

There was even a levitating rock.

But the best sighing of all perhaps is that giant crab. Granted they haven’t found water to presumably sustain crab life on Mars yet.

“I found this anomaly in the latest Curiosity Rover photo. The black object looks like a crashed UFO," writes Scott C. Waring on the UFO Sightings Daily website. "The craft is only about 2.5-3 meters across, so it probably only held a few passengers. Since many of the figures we found on Mars are about 5-8 cm tall, then we can conclude that his [sic] ship could carry about 20-40 passengers."
