Wayne Root to be Executive Producer of New Investigation Discovery Series

The former 2008 U.S. Vice Presidential nominee on the Libertarian ticket, Wayne Root, will act as Executive Producer for a new true crime show to debut on Investigation Discovery.

Root, who is also a contributing writer to the Gambling911.com website and best selling author, was given the green light this week for his idea by the popular cable network.

The show, Las Vegas D.A.”, will examine crimes that occur within the Las Vegas area. 

Wayne told Robin Leach of the Las Vegas Review Journal: “We’ll have exclusive access to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office following District Attorney Steve Wolfson and his powerhouse team in real time, from assessing the scene of the crime to chasing the conviction in the courtroom.

“Shot in cinema verite, the series provides access to the D.A.’s Office while immersing viewers in the visuals and the vibe distinctive to Las Vegas.”

“It’s a new, powerful form of storytelling for I.D. ‘Las Vegas D.A.’ is an opportunity for us to showcase the synergy between law enforcement and the D.A.’s Office in a rich and dramatic way,” said Kevin Bennett, I.D. general manager.

Root tells Gambling911.com filming with begin in November with the show airing some time in 2016.
