New Jersey has released its February online gambling revenue numbers and they are not very good.  A decline of nearly 11 percent was seen from January.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) official report for February Online Poker revenues show February vs. January, $2.04 million to $2.29 million, a decline of nearly 11 percent while casino games were down just shy of 10 percent from $9.27 million to $8.36 million.

The numbers are especially disconcerting considering February was amongst the coldest in state history. There have only been five months colder than February 2015 in more than 120 years in New Jersey.  Typically the cold weather keeps folks indoors and on the computer, presumably playing online poker and casino games.

The Online Poker numbers for Bwin.Party and Borgata showed an increased edge over its next biggest competitor Caesar’s/888 for the month from 46.1 percent to 53.9 percent.
