The Donn Handicap betting odds for 2015 had Lea as a slight favorite but with a payout potential of $14 on every $10 bet.

The Donn Handicap is an annual grade I race that takes place at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida.  It is open to horses 4-years-old and up and run 9 furlongs on dirt.  The purse is $500,000.

Lea won last year's Donn in 1:46.86 on a fast track but later developed a virus and would ultimately miss the rest of the racing season.

"I'd say, he's probably coming into the Donn the same as he was last year," said Lea’s trainer, Bill Mott.

Constitution and Commission both have the next shortest odds at 3-1.

Constitution is one of three Todd Pletcher trained horses that will be running in this year’s Donn Handicap.

"The horse has been training really well. He certainly seemed to like Gulfstream last year,” Pletcher said of Constitution, who suffered a hairline fracture last spring.

The odds appear below following this preview of the race from the Daily Racing Form’s Brian Rochman.

Lea +140

Constitution 3/1

Commissioner 3/1

Protonico 5/1

Prayer for Relief 10/1

Blue Tone 12/1

East Hall 12/1

Elnaawi 12/1

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
