This horse has finished 4th and 6th, respectively, since his big win back in June at the Gold Cup at Santa Anita. Pundits will suggest he simply hasn’t looked that good over these past four months.
Still, that Gold Cup was a Grade 1 race run at the very track he’ll be taking on Saturday at the Breeders Cup Classic. He’s run at 10 furlongs at a respectable time of 2:01 and 2/5, thus giving Majestic Harbor a solid edge over most of the other BC Classic entrants.
Then there’s Majestic Harbor’s jockey, Tyler Baze. His first win back from suspension for substance abuse in 2012 was at the Lava Man California Classic Cup at none other than Santa Anita. In fact, this track is practically a home base for Baze.
