When it comes to Oscar payout odds, you won’t find any worse in any betting event and 2014 is no exception. AceSportsbook.com has all your latest Oscar betting odds here.
Amazingly, despite the horrible odds offered year after year, the Oscars remain among the single most wagered on events. In fact, outside of the US Presidential race, the Academy Awards are bet on more than any other single day nonsporting event.
So this year, how about those Best Director odds?
Alfonso Cuaron pays $10 for every $350 bet for “Gravity”.
And Best Actress, Cate Blanchett: She also pays $10 for every $350 bet.
The underdog rarely wins when it comes to the Oscars.
Still, there are a few good options in certain categories.
Best Picture only requires a $60 bet to win $10 for “12 Years a Slave” (the $60 is refunded assuming this film wins).
With “Gravity” an almost guarantee to win it for Best Director, there is an outside chance it could also win Best Film and pay out $30 for each $10 bet.
Best Supporting Actress pays the most competitive odds.
Lupita Nyongo only requires a $20 bet to win $10 at AceSportsbook.com (better than the $30 risk at most books) while Jennifer Lawrence would pay out EVEN odds.
