For now, BetOnline features a wager on how long it will take one of the announces to mention the word “Marijuana”. The sportsbook is specific that it must be one of the broadcast announcers and not a sideline reporter. The word must be “Marijuana” and not one of its variants (i.e. “Weed” or “Pot”).
No Mention is the favorite requiring a $45 risk to win $10 (the $45 is returned in the event that the bet is a winner). First Half pays $40 on a $10 bet. Second Half pays $80 on a $10 bet.
Super Bowl 48 is being dubbed the “Bong Bowl” or “Reefer Bowl” since both teams represent the only two states in the union that recently legalized marijuana smoking for recreational use.
Five pro-Marijuana billboards are expected to be strategically placed nearby the Meadowlands Stadium where this year's Super Bowl will be played.
