Anthony Weiner Odds to Become NYC Mayor Following Latest Scandal

BetOnline has released updated odds on Anthony Weiner’s odds to be elected the next New York City Mayor following news of yet another sexting scandal.

While Weiner had been holding his own in the polls, the disgraced former Congressman was now a huge long shot to become the next NYC Mayor.  BetOnline had his chances at 6/1 for a payout potential of $60 on every $10 bet.

The No was coming in at -1000, which in oddsmaker’s terms means he is a “lock” to lose.

Weiner has vowed to stay in the Mayoral race after confessing to inappropriate online messaging with other females after a sexting scandal forced him to resign from Congress in 2011.

"I said that other texts and photos were likely to come out, and today they have," Weiner said during a late afternoon press conference Tuesday. 

"Some of these things happened before my resignation, some of them happened after," Weiner said.

His wife Huma Abedin stood by his side throughout the press conference.  She also spoke.

"Anthony has made some horrible mistakes both before he resigned from Congress and after.  I love him, I have forgiven him, I believe in him."
