In regard to the Nationals vs. Phillies game, Don Best TV’s Pat Williams asks, “We are going to set the run total at 8.  The number is very telling.  Are we talking about how deceiving this young pitcher from the Nationals is going to be or how bad Cole Hamels is going to be?”

The Nationals starting pitcher Taylor Jordan, 7-0 in his 8th start with an ERA of under 1.  Cole Hamels, meanwhile, is just 3-11 for the Phillies.

Kenny White points out that, during the month of April, Hamels was 55 cents better than the average pitcher and, in June, just 20 cents better than the average pitcher.

He also notes that Washington is one of the worst teams vs. left-handed pitchers.
