Unlike some of the categories at this year’s Oscars, the Academy Awards 2013 Best Director betting odds do have some degree of value. BetOnline was offering odds on the Oscars where qualified new customers can receive up to $900 in FREE BETS.
Normally we don’t think of a -400 favorite as having much value, but when it comes to the Academy Awards, this is actually a decent price considering the Best Actress and Best Actor favorites are priced at over -1000.
Steven Spielberg is the -400 favorite for his direction of “Lincoln” but one should note that in past Oscars, Spielberg does have a history of getting snubbed.
Ang Lee for “Life of Pi” had the next shortest odds paying $45 for every $10 bet.
