Sportsbook on Sunday opened odds on the 2012 Belmont Stakes and I’ll Have Another was made the early 3/1 favorite to win it along with the coveted Triple Crown.
I’ll Have Another has so far won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, beating Bodemeister in both races during the final seconds.
"We're ready. Bring it on," I’ll Have Another trainer Doug O'Neill said following Saturday’s big win. "I can't put into words how incredible it is. We're just on Cloud 9. It's super exciting."
It has been 34 years since we last had a Triple Crown winner. That was Affirmed in 1978.
This year’s odds on a Triple Crown opened around 12/1 at some online sportsbooks.
The next favorites to win the 2012 Belmont are Paynter at 6/1 and Union Rags at 10/1.
