Team PokerStars Pro Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom won his second SCOOP title in two days, recording back-to-back victories in Events 2 and 3 for a combined total of $407,200. The formidable Swedish star currently leads the SCOOP Player of the Year Overall Leaderboard by a massive 55 points after just seven completed events.

Elsewhere, Team PokerStars Pros Daniel Negreanu and Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier just missed out on a SCOOP title in the $1,050 NL Draw event, finishing second and third respectively. The winner of that tournament was ‘Maestro Shao’ from Argentina, who also final-tabled the $109 NL Draw event yesterday evening finishing in sixth place.

Finally, a host of big names contested the closing stages of Event 7 (H) – the $700 NL Hold’em Heads-Up. Well known high stakes pros Scott Seiver and Justin Bonomo finished second and tied for fifth respectively, while Chris Moorman and Team PokerStars Pro Victor Ramdin were both knocked out one round, both tied in ninth place. All of them, however, were outdone by unknown UK player ‘shurgar’, who satellited into the tourney at the third time of asking. Proof, if any was needed, that persistence does pay!
