2012 Cheltenham Day 3 Betting Odds: Jewson Novices’ Chase, World Hurdle

2012 Cheltenham Day 3 betting odds were available for the Jewson Novices’ Chase, World Hurdle, Pertemps Final, Ryanair Chase, Byrne Group Plate, Charity Race and Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge.  All odds courtesy of 888Sport.com.

125x125 £

Both Peddlers Cross and Sir Des Champs were co-favorites to win the Jewson Novices’ Chase at 7/2 odds.  Peddlers Cross was getting 35 percent of the betting action while Sir Des Champs was getting closer to 20 percent.

Sporting Life had this to say about Peddlers Cross:

Peddlers Cross lost his unbeaten record over fences at Kempton to Sprinter Sacre but there was obviously no disgrace in that. A winner at The Festival over timber in 2010 and second in last year's Champion Hurdle, he obviously warrants respect though his jumping hasn't been as slick as it could have been over the larger obstacles.

The Ladbrokes World Hurdle had Big Bucks as the 4/7 favorite and getting 31 percent of the betting action.  Oscar Whiskey at 4/1 was getting 23 percent of the betting action in this race.

Sporting Life noted that Big Bucks has dominated the staying hurdle division since 2009 and there are few signs that his powers are on the wane.
