Monday Night Football Betting Odds: San Francisco vs. Arizona

File this one under the most boring Monday Night Football game of 2008 thus far.  Granted, they've been mighty lucky but there was a time when Monday Night Football was once reserved for the elite teams and neither of these were that heading into 2008, especially not San Francisco.  One can argue that Arizona has a place here but they are also 5-3 in a division that is made up of three other teams that have not won more than 2 games.

Betting odds on this game have hovered around -9 ½ and -10 in favor of the home team Cardinals.  There is a middling opportunity available should Arizona win by 10 points (and that is a good number we should point out).  Sports Interaction had San Francisco at +10 ½ while BetUS.com had Arizona at -9 ½.  You can bet opposite sides at these two books and if Arizona should win by 10, both bets are winners.  Don't expect that +10 ½ line to last though.

These two teams have split the series over their last 10 games.  The home team series has also been split.  Arizona has only beaten San Francisco by more than the current spread twice over this time, however.  Last year, they beat them by 10 points on the road, so that middling opportunity would have come in handy.

The 49ers are 1-6 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.  They are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games.  The Cardinals are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. NFC.

Gambling911.com would like to hold on to its 3-0 NFL record this week and therefore pass on this game.  But by all means, we do recommend taking advantage of that middling opportunity mentioned above for a very nominal risk since you'll only be losing the vig.
