The 2011 Breeders Cup will be held at Churchill Downs this year in Louisville, Kentucky.  The early weather report calls for sunny skies and temperatures in the 60’s.  Showers were anticipated for Sunday so this forecast still bears watching.

The last two Kentucky Derby races ran at Churchill Downs were done so with rain and a muddy track.   As a result the odds shifted dramatically coming into those races as certain contenders were seen as being better able to run on mud.

We should note that dry weather is expected for approximately 36 hours leading up to the Classic.  Friday’s races should also be dry.
