CardRunners.com, the popular poker training website, has decided to give instructor Haseeb Qureshi his walking papers.
Qureshi was caught up in a cheating scandal involving the so-called 'Portuguese Poker Prodigy' Jose "Girah" Macedo. Allegations against Mr. Qureshi have him playing on Macedo’s account.
Lock Poker, which sponsored Macedo, cut him loose over the weekend once the cheating allegations surfaced.
CardRunners.com issued the following statement:
"Effective immediately, CardRunners has decided to part ways with Haseeb Qureshi.
While Haseeb is a talented instructor, he has shown poor judgement in using astakee's poker account for his own play. We've informed Haseeb of this decision and it is final.
CardRunners"
