Eclipse Stakes odds for the July 2, 2011 race were available at William Hill here.  This race is also known as The Coral Eclipse Stakes.

The Eclipse Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in Great Britain open to thoroughbreds aged three years or older. It is run at Sandown Park over a distance of 1 mile, 2 furlongs and 7 yards (2,018 metres).

There are two co-favorites to win the Eclipse Stakes 2011 as of June 26, So You Think and Workforce, both at 6/4 odds

A new jockey was being determined for So You Think as his usual rider Ryan Moore will be committed to riding winner Workforce.

The English Derby and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, Workforce was looking in fine form over the weekend.

''He worked nicely this morning at Newmarket. Everyone seemed very pleased. He picked up his lead horse nicely,'' Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah, told At The Races. ''We're happy with him and he's heading to Sandown. He put in a pretty smart performance in the Brigadier Gerard. He's got a good turn of foot, so I don't see why the trip should worry him.''

Here were the early Eclipse Stakes odds for 2011:

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
