Jockey Garrett Gomez said of the number 11 post position: “It’s good. We’re not too far inside, not too far outside. We’re right in the middle of the field. We’ll have to make our own trip, just like anywhere, but I like the draw.”

Master of Hounds is the only Derby entrant with a race at 1 3/16 miles.

With only one start this year, the UAE Derby, Master of Hounds at 16/1 is a terrible value.
