With the Ducks a +2.5 underdog in the upcoming BCS Championship game against Auburn, one Oregon man is willing to bet his marriage on the game.

Oregon Ducks fan Ryan Tharp has posted a Craigslist ad, whereby he will marry an Auburn fan while in Las Vegas.  Whomever’s team loses must pay for the annulment the next day.

“So, if you are going to be in Vegas after the National Championship, believe in your Tigers and want to have stories to tell your grandchildren (won’t be mine) then shoot me an e-mail with a pic,” he writes.

Critics have lashed out at Tharp for what they claim is “mocking the sanctity of marriage”.

"To me, it's not even a marriage, it's two strangers taking a picture together and then getting an annulment the next day to retract the legally binding agreement," he says.

Tharp (pictured with his pooch) is an attorney and business editor.
