The EPT Prague (2010) final table has been determined and there are not Americans among the group.
Leading the pack was Italian poker player Marco Leonzio with 507500 chips. He is one of three Italians making the final table.
PokerStars.com, which sponsors the EPT Prague event, remarked:
It's becoming clear that Prague is a home away from home for Italian players. It started two seasons ago when Salvatore Bonavena, accompanied by dozens of high-strung countrymen, dominated a televised event. Each of them in some way marked the start of Italy's poker boom, and each of them also made it into the final winner's photo. A new poker nation emerged that week, ready to take on the world.
And PokerStars should be thrilled by the power of Italia. Their Italian website PokerStars.it, by itself, ranks as the 6th largest online poker room in the world now. 72186 Italian players were online Friday evening in fact.
None of the Italians making the final table have had a major impact on the live circuit to date.
