39 of 758 Players Remain in 2010 EPT Barcelona Poker Tournament

As of Thursday evening (local time Spain), 39 players were left standing out of 758 in the uber popular 2010 EPT Barcelona poker tournament.

A total of 758 players from 53 countries competed at EPT Barcelona. Spain sent by far the most players – 121.

€825,000 will be paid to the winner, and a total of 112 players will be in the money, which means that all of those still playing will cash out.

The chip leader Thursday evening was Dominik Nitsche of Germany.  At the tender age of 18, Nitsche has won just over a half million in live poker tournament play, all of which was won over the past year.

Alessandro Longobardi of Italy was the second biggest chip leader.   

Two Spaniards occupied the number three and number four positions, respectively. Jose Luis Navarro Giner and Jesus Cortes Lizano. 

Only two players representing the United States remained at press time: Bryn Kenney and Zachary Korik.  Kenney has won over a half million in lifetime tournament play.
