Arkansas vs. South Carolina Spread

The Arkansas vs. South Carolina spread was at Gamecocks -4.5 at BetUS.com.  These teams are ranked 19th and 17th, respectively.  60 percent of the spread action was on Arkansas in this game and Gambling911.com anticipated more balanced action come game time Saturday evening.  95 percent of the money line action was on Arkansas, with a payout potential of $17 for every $10 bet should the Razorbacks win outright.   75 percent of the total action was on the OVER 59.

With a victory and a little help, South Carolina could wrap up the SEC East title. Arkansas has won three of the last four meetings however.

Head Coach Steve Spurrier has to make sure his team stays focused and doesn’t think ahead to Florida the next week.

"We talked briefly about it Monday, that this is Arkansas week and next week we'll talk about the Florida game," Spurrier said. "We all know what that's about and we'll wait till next week to talk about it."

And they will need to be focused.  Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett was named SEC offensive player of the week after throwing for a school-record 409 yards and three touchdowns in last Saturday's 49-14 win over Vanderbilt.

ESPN.com’s Scout’s Edge has the Gamecocks winning, but only by two points.  Arkansas has indeed covered 7 of the last 9 in this series

Look for the Gamecocks' running game to be the difference in this game. Lattimore will find a few creases that will open up play-action opportunities for Garcia and also help win the time-of-possession battle and keep Mallett on the sideline. Mallett will put up a fight and deliver some big-time throws, but South Carolina's consistent pass rush will eventually force him into a costly turnover or two that will be the tipping point in a close game.

There are some great trends to consider before betting on the Arkansas vs. South Carolina Spread.
