The UB.com online Bad Beat Poker Jackpot has topped the $500K mark and that amount is increasing daily. The next player to lose a hand of Texas Hold’em at UB.com with four eights or anything better stands to win at least $162,500. The winner of the hand would walk away with $81,250 and $1,000 goes to each of the players seated at the table where the bad beat occurred, and another $81,250 minus the $1,000 to each of the players at the bad beat table is distributed amongst all players at tables playing the same game type and stakes. As the Bad Beat Jackpot grows, those numbers rise with it.

Back in September the Bad Beat Jackpot at UB.com paid out a remarkable $670,575.38.

“Another life-altering jackpot is about to be hit at UB’s online poker tables, and it’s all for a losing hand of cards” stated Annie Duke, UB’s Cardroom Consultant. “One lucky Texas Hold’em player is about to win in a day more than most people earn in a year at the office. It’s incredible.”

UB.com chat reveals that any money won will be used to pay off home mortgages, purchase a luxury car, and putting the kids through college.

So what is the online Bad Beat Poker Jackpot?

It is just like traditional Texas Hold’em poker with an added jackpot component.  In addition, $0.50 is collected from qualifying poker hands and placed into a constantly growing pot until someone hits the jackpot.

When an online poker player loses a hand with four eights or anything better while seated at a Bad Beat Jackpot table, a percentage of the jackpot is divided among Bad Beat Jackpot players, including those seated at a Bad Beat Jackpot table featuring the same limit and game type as where the bad beat occurred.

UB.comhas plenty of players that help to make that jackpot grow.  It is the third largest US-facing online poker room and one of the biggest in the world.
