The Chicago Bears vs. Carolina Panthers spread opened at Chicago -2 as the away favorite.  The line has since moved up to Chicago Bears -2 ½ at BetED.com.  The Bears were getting 75 percent of the spread action.  Carolina was getting around 60 percent of the money line action, which would pay out $12 for every $10 bet with a Panthers outright win.

Carolina comes into this game winless but lost by only two points against New Orleans last weekend.

Carolina quarterback Jimmy Clausen improved Sunday following a disastrous debut the week before.  Carolina scored two touchdowns in a single game for the first time this season.

The Bears, meanwhile, came into their Sunday night game against the New York Giants undefeated but ended up losing 3-17.

Among the highlights, Jay Cutler completed 8-of-11 passes for 42 yards with an interception before leaving with an injury. It was just the third time Cutler had fewer than 100 yards passing in a game in his career.

Chicago managed just 110 yards of total offense, its fewest since Dec. 3, 2006 when they had 107 yards against the Vikings.

Carolina has won the last two games in this series dating back to 2006.

The trends are overwhelmingly against Chicago in this game.

The Bears are 2-6 Against The Spread in their last 8 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.

Chicago is 3-9 ATS in their last 12 road games.

The Bears are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS loss.

The Bears are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games on grass.
