The NHL had already fired four head coaches before the axe finally fell on an NBA coach.
This week, Mike Brown (named coach of the year in the NBA in 2022-23) was fired by the Sacramento Kings.
It was honestly shocking, despite the Kings losing five in a row at home. Brown had his contract extended in the offseason through 2027 with a guarantee of more than $20 million.
The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag have updated odds on the next NBA Coach fired and it’s time for Mr. Big Shot to step right up.
Chauncy Billups is the favorite.
Typically, the we would also set odds on the next head coach of the Sacramento Kings. However, I was told they believe that Doug Christie will get every chance to win that job outright.
He is a beloved figure in Sacramento as a player, broadcaster, assistant coach and now the head coach so no odds will be set until possibly after the season.
