Marlins @ Guardians
The total and moneyline remained steady Wednesday morning at 7.5 and -128 (CLE), respectively.
"Before his last outing, Eury Perez was one of the most effective pitchers in the league, sporting a 1.06 ERA and 0.68 WHIP with 37 strikeouts to just eight walks over the prior 34 innings. Last time out, the Atlanta Braves took Perez deep three times. The 22-year-old right-hander is in a great spot to rebound with the Miami Marlins visiting the Cleveland Guardians. The home team doesn't fan much, but they're a below average offense with below average power." (source: ESPN)
Cleveland has won four of the last five in this series dating back to 2023, however. They've also been winning 80 percent of their games of late.
Miami has cooled down a bit after climbing towards - and flirting with - the .500 mark, having started the season off in a deep hole. They've lost their last four games.
Phillies @ Reds
"The Cincinnati Reds are in the thick of the playoff race even though they've been without their ace for over two months. That changes on Wednesday with Hunter Greene ticketed to return from the IL in a late afternoon home affair with the Philadelphia Phillies. Against a lesser opponent, using Greene out of the gate is defensible, but the Phillies possess one of the most potent lineups in the league, and have been on a power surge over the last month. Greene punched out 24 in just 13 frames while rehabbing, but despite logging 5 1/3 innings (79 pitches) in his final rehab effort, Greene is too risky." (source: ESPN)

Red Sox vs. Astros
The number here dropped from 9 to 8.5.
The Astros hold a wRC+ of 102 over the last 30 days and rank 14th in weighted on-base average. They've been tough on righties of late, as since July 1, they rank 10th in baseball with a wRC+ of 110 (source: The Action Network)
Houston Astros career statistics vs. Dustin May do have one home run and four RBIs with just 28 at bats.
Boston Red Sox career statistics vs. Spencer Arrighetti have just two hits in a limited sampling of 12 at bats.
Rays vs. Athletics
Jacob Lopez is coming off his best start of the season, limiting the Washington Nationals to three hits in 7 2/3 scoreless frames. However, he threw 114 pitches and will be working on just four days of rest, so the Athletics might cut his outing short. Even so, the lefty is in a favorable spot facing a Tampa Bay Rays club that sports the eighth-lowest wOBA and ninth-highest strikeout rate versus left-handers. (source: ESPN)

Top cappers are all over the A's at -108 while the public is slightly backing Tampa more.

Padres @ Giants
The number has dropped from 7.5 to 7 with greater than 60% on the Over.

Oracle Park is one of the most pitcher-friendly venues in Major League Baseball. Statcast park factors consistently rank it near the bottom in home run and overall run production, with the cool Bay Area air and spacious dimensions swallowing up would-be extra-base hits.
The temperature is expected to be in the high 50’s to low 60’s tonight, which, along with the Giants aforementioned offensive struggles, has triggered some of The Betting Insider’s best MLB systems.
We also love that the Giants are just 6-for-39 against Yu Darvish (.154).
San Diego Padres career statistics vs. Logan Webb have just two home runs in 211 at bats.
The Padres have allowed three or fewer runs in half of their last ten games.
Rays @ Athletics
There is a lot here to like about the Athletics winning.
ESPN offered the following analysis:
Jeffrey Springs will face his old team for the second time, this time in Sacramento when the Athletics host the Tampa Bay Rays. After opening the season with a 6.04 ERA and 1.62 WHIP over his first six outings, the lefty posted a 3.30 ERA and 0.98 WHIP over his past 18 efforts, though 107 strikeouts in 132 innings are a bit light. Even so, Springs is in a good spot facing a Rays lineup with the eighth lowest wOBA and the ninth highest strikeout rate against southpaws.
The number moved from A's -120 to -105 based on lopsided action on the Rays.
