Weather Forecast for the 2012 Kentucky Derby Calls for Hot Temps But No Rain

Unlike the past two Kentucky Derby races, 2012 should be dry, at least according to the early forecast (Tuesday May 1).  Gambling911.com will be presenting an update as we get closer as isolated thunderstorms do fit into the forecast so timing could be an issue.   (You can bet the Kentucky Derby here at BetOnlne.com – 7 percent back on losses daily and up to $900 in Free cash for qualified customers)

The problem this year could be the heat.

Forecasters believe this could be the hottest Derby day in 11 years.

This will result in a FAST and DRY track…no slop.  Look for horses that run well under such conditions.

Temperatures should be around 80 degrees at race time, which is not stifling, however, the humidity will be around 65 percent.  These conditions are enough to think twice about a Kentucky Derby contender that may be not be able to adapt to heat.  The heaviest horse is one you may want to scratch off your bet card.
