UK racing for the Carlisle 27 November had three of the biggest movers:  Etxalar, Bollin Fiona and Dickie Henderhoop.

Etxalar was getting 36 percent of the betting action in the Carlisle 14:25 3m 2f Class 3 Christmas Parties at Carlisle Racecourse Handicap Chase (4yo plus) at 8/1 odds

The reviews are not great for Etxalar despite the amount of action flowing in.

“Let down by jumping since C&D win 13 months ago. Shaped as though race was needed when attempting repeat win in same race last month, but not one in which to place maximum faith.”

Bollin Fiona was now getting 8/1 odds as was Dickie Henderhoop for the Carlisle 15:30 27 November.  This race is the 2m 4f Class 5 Racinguk Com Amateur Riders Handicap Hurdle (4yo Plus)

Dickie Henderhoop was getting 30 percent of the wagers.  Bollin Fiona was seeing 14 percent of the action.

The reviews for Dickie Henderhoop are good, a la the Time Form.

“Dickie Henderhoop arrives here on the back of a career best in a race that has been well advertised since, so he looks the answer. Bollin Fiona and Rifleman have more going for them than most.

“Modest maiden hurdler, but ran as well as he ever has when when third off this mark at Kelso last month (2?m). That race looks strong in the context of this, so worth chancing back slightly in trip.”

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
