Stately Victor's 2010 Kentucky Derby odds have been slashed from +3000 to +2500 over this past week at BetUS.com (see website here)

From BetUS.com analyst D.S. Williamson:

"Yes, the Bluegrass Stakes is run over Polytrack but he's out of Ghostzapper, who won the Breeders' Cup Classic over dirt, and a Dynaformer mare which means that he can run all day long. Maybe, he's coming into his own and he won the Bluegrass with ease, pulling away from the field without a care in the world. This could be the horse that long shot bettors have been looking for. At this point, I have to endorse big time and say that he only gets better. He's a player."

His rider is also Alan Garcia, who won a Triple Crown race on D' Tara when that colt upset odds-on Big Brown in the 2008 Belmont Stakes.

The problem: He has yet to win over a dirt surface such as the one he will tackle at Churchill, not to mention that surface will be mighty muddy come race time.
