Samratt odds to win the 2014 Belmont Stakes were set at just shy of 23/1 at AceSportsbook.com.

Heading into the Kentucky Derby, distance was a concern with Samraat and that might be an even bigger problem at the Belmont Stakes. Then again, he did put in a decent effort at Churchill Downs, finishing 5th. He also maintained a better pace than in previous races beyond a mile.

Samraat won his first five career starts including the Withers and Gotham, the later of which was raced at Belmont Park.  While not winning the Wood, Samraat showed grit and determination.

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
