Preakness Racing Odds 2011

In only the second time in almost 20 years, the Preakness Stakes will feature a full field of 14 three year olds. To celebrate the field running crowd, betED.com is offering a plethora of exciting prop bets, as well as odds on which horse will win the 2011 Preakness Stakes.

Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom is the +200 favorite to win the Preakness Stakes in Horse Racing Odds at BetED.com

Animal Kingdom is one of five horses that competed in the Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs that will be at Pimlico Race Course this weekend.

The son of Leroidesanimaux, Animal Kingdom, which won the Derby as a 20-to-1 long shot, will start from post No. 11

He will try to continue his quest to become the first horse to win the Triple Crown since Affirmed accomplished the feat in 1978. Since then, 11 Kentucky Derby winners have won the Preakness but then fallen short in the Belmont Stakes, the third leg of the Triple Crown.

betED.com Triple Crown Odds have Animal Kingdom at +600 to win the Triple Crown.

Kentucky Derby favorite Dialed In, which finished 8th at Churchill Downs, is next at +400 in Preakness Stakes Odds, followed by Mucho Macho Man at +550.

Dialed In, the son of Mineshaft, breaks from post No. 10, while third-place Derby finisher Mucho Macho Man is right beside him at post No. 9.

One of the Preakness Prop Bets at betED.com asks whether Dialed In will finish in the top three at the Preakness – yes, +140; no, -180.
