It is by far one of the biggest events covered by the Gambling911.com website.  This year’s Kentucky Derby features a horse by the name of Uncle Mo and one of his biggest fans includes the likes of World Series of Poker bracelet record holder Phil Hellmuth, also known as “The Poker Brat”.

The Louisville Courier published his Derby pick, noting that Hellmuth is a mainstay of the Derby year after year.

Here is a breakdown of Phil Hellmuth’s 2011 Kentucky Derby picks as seen in the Courier:

1.Uncle Mo – He looks pretty tough. And Todd Pletcher is a smart guy. He’s actually a poker player. A good player. And he’s the man right now in the training world.

2.Dialed In – He was dialed in for the Florida Derby.

3.The Factor – He’s going to take them out fast. But some years the horse on the lead stays on the lead.

4.Premier Pegasus – Did you see his bloodlines? Wow. He’s a son of Fusaichi Pegasus and the broodmare sire being Summer Squall?

5.To Honor and Serve – I’d have liked to have seen him finish better in the Florida Derby. But between now and the Kentucky Derby, I will be going on the official USO tour, spending a week over there with the soldiers. So I have to have To Honor and Serve up there.

6.Pants On Fire – I love a horse that can shock the world.

7.Mucho Macho Man

8.Anthony’s Cross

9.Brethren

10.         Soldat – Florida Derby was disappointing. But, in keeping with the USO tour, Soldat is French for soldier.
