The Pan American Stakes 2012 odds were available at WagerWeb.com, which was offering up to $1000 in FREE CASH based on an initial deposit as well as up to 13 percent cash back on losses. 

There were two favorites in this race, Newsdad and Simmard at around even odds.

The 1 1/2-mile turf Pan Am for thoroughbreds four years older and up was upgraded to Grade 2 status.

Newsdad finished fourth in the 2011 Blue Grass. 

Simmard won by a nose over Newsdad in the Grade 2 Mac Diarmida four weeks ago.
