Ladbroke Hurdle Betting Odds 2011: Prospect Wells

Ladbroke Hurdle 2011 betting odds have Prospect Wells as the 5 to 1 favorite and among the most wagered on horses in this race.  Brampour follows with 7 to 1 odds.  Featherbed Lane was at 10 to 1 odds while Olofi came in at 12 to 1.  All online race books were offering Prospect Wells at 5 to 1, Gambling911.com noted.

As a Paul Nicholls trained horse, Prospect Wells has won twice and finished second at Cheltenham.

"I believe the plan is for him to run in The Ladbroke, although he also has the option of running in the novice hurdle on the Friday (Kennel Gate Novices' Hurdle)," said Wylie.

"Paul is going to enter him in both races and see how they are shaping up, but I think at the moment we're leaning towards the handicap.

"The thinking is he'll get into the race on a nice weight and he might never be on such a good weight ever again, so we might try and make the most of it.

"He has done very well since joining Paul, so credit to him, but also credit to Howard Johnson who did very well to save his life."

Prospect Wells had entered the field at 6 to 1 odds originally.

The Ladbrokes Hurdle 2011 will take place at Ascot 17 December.

Malaysian Horse Racing: A History of the Sport

The history of horse racing in Malaysia is largely influenced by Australian racing. The country's interest in racing was first evident in the 1880s, when organizers began setting up large race meetings twice a year. In 1896, the Straits Racing Association and Penang Turf Club were established. As a result, horse racing in Malaysia has a rich history.
