Kentucky Derby 2015 Contenders – Carpe Diem – Latest Odds

Gambling911.com has your Kentucky Derby 2015 contenders with a close-up look at Carpe Diem, who odds were listed at 7/1 overnight.

Carpe Diem has won four of his five career races including his only two races in 2015: The Grade II Tampa Bay Derby on March 7 and the Grade I Blue Grass on April 4.

The primary con directed at Carpe Diem is his Beyer figures, considered slow when compared to the top four Derby favorites, each of which are in triple digits.  His competition in won races was considered to be “soft”.

With John Velazquez aboard, Carpe Diem worked a half-mile on his own in :48 over a fast track at Keeneland two weeks ago.

In 1896, the Straits Racing Association and Penang Turf Club were established. As a result, horse racing in Malaysia has a rich history.
