Tizway Breeders Cup

For those of you looking for horse betting online, the Saratoga races add to the excitement this August 2011.  Saratoga racing this summer is featured over a 40-day period and includes the world’s top class contenders.  You can bet at BetDSI.com and receive an 8 percent rebate.

Upcoming Saratoga races for 2011 include the following:

August 13 – The Sword Dancer

August 20 – The Alabama

August 25 – The New York Turf Writers

August 27 – The Travers, The King’s Bishop, The Ballerina

August 28 – The Personal Ensign

September 3 – The Woodward, The Forego

September 4 – The Spinaway

September 5 (Monday) – The Three Chimneys Hopeful Stakes

This past weekend, Tizway won the Whitney Invitational Handicap with 6/1 odds as Flat Out and Giant Oak were both favored ahead of him.  His past record at the Whitney did not instill a whole lot of confidence in oddsmakers and gamblers alike.

Rajiv Maragh rode Tizway to victory as he caught the pacesetter Friend or Foe before the quarter-pole and opened a two-length lead with a win in 1:52.43 for 1/8 miles.

The win automatically qualifies Tizway for a spot at the upcoming Breeder’s Cup Classic in November.

Trainer James Bond said: “He will run in the Jockey Club Gold Cup. (Oct. 1 at Belmont) and then the Breeders’ Cup Classic. I’m as confident going 1¼ miles as I was going 11/8miles coming here today.”

Favorite to win the Whitney, Flat Out, is expected to meet Tizway once again in the Gold Cup.
