The Gulfstream Oaks Stakes 2012 odds to win had Grace Hall as the slight favorite at 3/2 with And Why Not close behind with 3/1 odds.  Zo Impressive was right up there with 2/1 odds.  All odds courtesy of our friends at Sportsbook.com here.

Grace Hall was seeking revenge at this year’s Gulfstream Oaks Stakes.

64-1 longshot Yara denied favorite Grace Hall the win at the Grade 2 Davona Dale.

Grace Hall entered the Davona Dale off a game second in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies, but was undefeated prior to that championship event.

"She has trained really well since the Davona Dale," Her trainer Tony Dutrow remarked. "We have her right where we want her to be for the Oaks. The only disappointment [losing Davona Dale] was she was a big favorite and she lost to a longshot. In the big picture, winning was the only thing she didn't do, but that race was not the main objective. I think she ran great."

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
