Arlington Million 2012 odds for Saturday’s big Breeders Cup Challenge race pay between $300 and $600 on a $100 bet for six of the horses participating.  None of the contenders pays less.  All odds were courtesy of Sportsbook.com (.ag), which offers up to 8 percent in losses back and features wagering on over 100 tracks worldwide

The Arlington Million 2012 has thus far managed to generate the most traffic of any horse race profiled on Gambling911.com thus far outside of the Triple Crown races and Breeders Cup.  If you are looking to bet this one online, you’re not alone!

Part of the interest could have something to do with the payout potential, whereby no single contender would pay less than 3/1 odds (at least as of the morning Saturday).

Crackerjack King and Boisterous were the odds-on co-favorites at 3/1.

Boisterous is a bit of a hard pill to swallowing, remaining winless in three career Grade I races, never finishing higher than third.

Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey says ''He seems to be coming into the race good. He'll be a factor.''

Not exactly the most confident words with such a high caliber of competition.

The smart money might be on Crackerjack King or even Afsare at 5/1 odds.

Afsare trainer Luca Cumani said: "We've been there a few times since we won with Tolomeo, which was a remarkable day because he beat the American star of the time, John Henry. We haven't managed to do as well, but I think we go there with a good chance in Afsare."

He added: "He has run very well all year and seems to have found some consistency. He should be suited by the mile and a quarter there and the short straight. He's got a very good turn of foot."

Cumani sees a tight race for the finish between Afsare and Crackerjack King.

"Afsare has got to find a few lengths with Crackerjack King on their Italian running. In American racing you need a bit of luck in running because they are very tight tracks, but if he gets that I'm sure he'll run a very good race."

The Million will be only Crackerjack King's second outing for trainer Marco Botti following a fifth-placed finish in the Coral-Eclipse Stakes at Sandown.

Botti said: "We've been pleased with Crackerjack King, he is in good form. The ground was definitely too soft at Sandown so I think he's there with a good shout."

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
