Cigar Street Odds to Win the BC Cup Classic

Cigar Street odds to win the BC Cup Classic were set at just shy of 15-1 at Bookmaker.eu where you can claim up to $2500 in FREE CASH and get up to an 8% cash back on wins and losses.

Cigar Street has won or finished 2nd in six of his last seven races and finished 4th at the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby back in April.

There is plenty of enthusiasm surrounding this Bill Mott trained horse even though he is five years old and has never taken part in a Grade 1 race.  Cigar Street has also been sidelined by injury on a number of occasions.

But here are some positives: Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez, who is 3-for-4 on Cigar Street, rides him in the Classic.

And Mott offered this: "He's a big, strong horse with plenty of talent and looks like he should get the 10-furlong distance. He's meeting a tough group of horses, but we've always felt that he probably belonged."

"Maybe one good thing that he's got going for him is that he's a fresh horse," Mott said. "… He's coming into his third race off a layoff, and hopefully it'll be a big one. … You test by fire. You'll never know unless you get him in there and give him a chance."
