SBG Global was offering betting on Saturday's big Belmont Stakes race with morning odds issued below.

The Belmont Stakes 2010 goes off Saturday, 6:30 pm Eastern - ABC

The 142nd running of the Belmont Stakes is on Saturday with a field of 12 horses expected to go to the post.  Kentucky Derby runner-up Ice Box is the 3-1 morning line favorite with Preakness runner-up First Dude the second choice with odds of 9-2.  Since neither the Kentucky Derby winner nor the Preakness winners are in the race, the Belmont is expected to be very competitive.

Check out odds and matchups for the Belmont Stakes at SBG Global.

Trainer Nick Zito has two horses in the race and they are both serious contenders. Ice Box is the favorite while Fly Down is the third choice at 9-2. Fly Down was the winner of the Dwyer Stakes and he could be the horse to watch on Saturday. He is the son of 2003 Horse of the Year Mineshaft.  With Ice Box and Fly Down, Zito has two of the favorites.  Zito won the Belmont in 2004 with Birdstone and in 2008 with Da' Tara but both of those horses were huge longshots. Ice Box will start in post number six and will be ridden by Jose Lezcano while Fly Down will be on his inside in post position number five with jockey John Velazquez.

The last time the Belmont Stakes did not have either the Derby winner or the Preakness winner was in 2006 when Jazil, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin won the race.  McLaughlin will send Uptowncharlybrown in this year's Belmont.

Here is the field of 12 for Saturday's Belmont with morning line odds:

1 Dave in Dixie, jockey Calvin Borel, trainer John Sadler, odds: 20-1

2 Spangled Star, jockey Garrett Gomez, trainer Rick Dutrow, odds: 30-1
