The Arlington Million Stakes is one of the most important races of the year leading up to the Breeders Cup.  This Grade I 1 ¼ mile Turf race open to horses aged three years and up features a $1 million purse.

Magician comes into this year’s Arlington Million Stakes as an EVEN odds favorite.  Close behind him is Real Solution at 2/1 odds.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained four-year-old, Magician, claimed the Breeders' Cup Turf last November.

"Quick ground is essential to him really and he hasn't had that this year,” said O’Brien heading into Saturday’s big race.  “The ground was gone for him (in the King George) and I knew after a furlong I wasn't comfortable. We're hoping he can come back to that (Breeders' Cup) sort of form."

Smoking Sun 4/1

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
