TCI talked this weekend to Ed DeRosa of Brisnet to offer his Arkansas Derby and Blue Grass Stakes picks.  Both races were getting significant traction in terms of traffic coming to the Gambling911.com website during the overnight and early morning hours right into the afternoon.

Bodemeister and Secret Service were the horses to beat at the Arkansas Derby at -120 and +150 odds, respectively at WagerWeb.com, which was offering up to 13 percent cash back on losses.

Hansen was a much bigger -180 favorite to win the 2012 Blue Grass Stakes, therefore all other contenders offered pretty decent payouts should anyone other than Hansen win.

“He’s the fastest horse by a few lengths,” DeRosa said of Hansen.  “I’m not going against him.”

This is a 5:45 pm EDT post time.

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
