Algorithms, Union Rags Fountain of Youth Stakes Odds

Algorithms Fountain of Youth Stakes odds were coming in at -140 with Union Rags at Even odds.  This is a big Sunday race with updated odds found at WagerWeb.com, which was offering up to $1000 in FREE CASH based on an initial deposit and up to 13 percent weekly cashback.

Undefeated Algorithms, who debuted at Belmont last June with a five-furlong sprint victory by more than five lengths, is going for his fourth straight triumph, his second at the South Florida track.

Meanwhile, Union Rags will launch his sophomore season in Sunday’s feature event. The son of Dixie had his three-race win streak snapped on Nov. 5 when he came up a neck short in the BC Juvenile.

The ultimate target for both horses is the Kentucky Derby.

Michael Matz trains him Phyllis Wyeth owns him after first selling Union Rags in 2010 then buying him back after having recurring dreams about his “inevitable” success.  And that success has come to fruition.  Union Rags has earned $858,800 on the track since Wyeth’s repurchase. 

Union Rags will be at a bit of a disadvantage Sunday, but this is a process.

"I don't know what to expect, because those horses have been running (this year)," Matz said. "(Union Rags) hasn't run a bad race yet, and I don't expect him to run a bad race. But when you have horses that have already run twice down there and run pretty impressively, you just never know, when you haven't run in four months, what's going to happen."
