2014 Affirmed Stakes betting odds were available at Bookmaker.eu with Sing Praises the -125 favorite.

The Affirmed Stakes is the second leg of the Florida Stallion Stakes series.  It is raced on 7 furlongs of dirt and is open to horses two-years-old.

The race features a $125,000 purse.

“He keeps impressing me because he keeps doing things so easy,” Trainer Stanley Gold said of Sing Praises in an interview with the Daily Racing Form. “When you think he might not have anything left, you find out that he’s not even near the bottom of the tank, and he explodes for you. He’s been doing that in his works. His last work was 58 and change [seconds], and he was just loose-reining it. When the rider chirped to him, he just took off. I don’t know how good he is, but he’s good.”

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
