Stake.com is one of the most popular gambling websites in Canada today. The site is currently not available for real money betting in the USA. Forget all those affiliate websites pushing this brand for a moment. These sites make a killing by sending readers through their links so they can collect off your losses. It's a great business model but not one that we here at Gambling911.com engage in (all advertisements and some links on this site are paid for flat fee, one of the only industry sites that utilizes this model).
Stake.com does have its own Wikipedia page and the site is often referred to as just Stake. Though quite popular in Canada, the site is actually Australian-Curaçaoan. It is operated by Medium Rare NV, a company incorporated in Curaçao where it holds an online casino licence. It is a global company with offices in Serbia, Australia and Cyprus.
It was founded in 2016 by Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani established Easygo, a company which developed games for online casinos. The two helped create Stake, which was founded in 2017. The company is promoted by recording artist Drake and it is closely aligned with the popular streaming platform Kick.com. Stake's founders, Craven and Tehrani, launched Kick as a competitor to Amazon's Twitch.
In 2022, Stake.com began accepting customers from the U.S. via a sweepstakes platform and through the website Stake.us whereby customers instead play using Gold Coins and Stake Cash. It is considered a social casino site.
In order to claim cash prizes, you’ll want to play using Stake Cash (SCs). SCs are redeemable as crypto prizes once you meet the minimum redemption requirements. The site allows for prize redemptions.
